Busy week and here are a few of the lovely children I’ve had in the studio – and all girls too!
Firstly we have Sophie(1) who loved crawling all over the place! The next two shots are of sisters Alex(1) and Louisa(4) who both had beautiful sparkly blue eyes, and finally Lucy(4) and Anna (2). Lucy sung me a lovely song and remembered all the words!

After 6 weeks of the studio being closed for refurbishment, we officially re-opened for business on Wednesday – and it was great to get back behind the camera again!
Shown above are some of our first visitors to see the changes we have made. Firstly we have 11 week old Oliver and his older sister Amelia(2). It was Oliver’s first portrait shoot with me and a return visit for Amelia. I first photographed her when she was the same age as her little brother. Next we have 8 month old George, who loved to crawl everywhere! Finally we have William, who’s an actor. He came in to update his publicity headshots. I first photographed William about 6 years ago. I couldn’t believe how much he had grown!
Shown below are a few shots of our new build and studio refurb. The flooring in the Garden Room/Reception area still needs to be laid (hence the rugs shown in the shots!), but we are absolutely thrilled with it. I would like to take the opportunity of thanking a few people for making the project totally stress-free, namely our Architect, Tom Williamson of Williamson Architecture & Design and Mark Savage and his team at MHS Builders, Hatfield Heath. The flooring will be done by a client of mine – Andrew Banks at the Wood Gallery in Harlow.

As some regular visitors will know, I’m a member of the Master Photographers Association - which is a body that represents full-time, qualified professional photographers. On Tuesday, I attended the MPA Central Region Awards. The Central Region is made up of full-time professional photographers based in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and a bit of North London. Out of the hundreds of images submitted to the Awards, I’m very pleased to say that I was voted the Central Region Portrait Photographer of the Year. I also won the Classical Portrait and Under 5′s categories. The Awards were judged by Trevor and Faye Yerbury, who are hugely respected photographers within our industry.
