Firstly eleven month old Rocco (really cool name!) thought it would be a great idea to have a portrait taken with his mummy, so he came along with his granny for a portrait shoot. Next we have Louise who wanted me to capture a very special time of her life. Louise’s other children, Tyler and Honey Mae can’t wait for the arrival of their new family member!

This the beautiful Marley Skye who’s 8 months old. I love this shot as it has a great Springtime feel. We also did some fantastic moody black and white shots too – which I’m really pleased with. But for the time-being, I’m keeping those for mum and dad’s eyes only – and for an upcoming portrait competition!

Busy week and here are a few of the lovely children I’ve had in the studio – and all girls too!

Firstly we have Sophie(1) who loved crawling all over the place! The next two shots are of sisters Alex(1) and Louisa(4) who both had beautiful sparkly blue eyes, and finally Lucy(4) and Anna (2). Lucy sung me a lovely song and remembered all the words!

After 6 weeks of the studio being closed for refurbishment, we officially re-opened for business on Wednesday – and it was great to get back behind the camera again!

Shown above are some of our first visitors to see the changes we have made. Firstly we have 11 week old Oliver and his older sister Amelia(2). It was Oliver’s first portrait shoot with me and a return visit for Amelia.  I first photographed her when she was the same age as her little brother. Next we have 8 month old George, who loved to crawl everywhere! Finally we have  William, who’s an actor. He came in to update his publicity headshots. I first photographed William about 6 years ago.  I couldn’t believe how much he had grown!

Shown below are a few shots of our new build and studio refurb. The flooring in the Garden Room/Reception area still needs to be laid (hence the rugs shown in the shots!), but we are absolutely thrilled with it. I would like to take the opportunity of thanking a few people for making the project totally stress-free, namely our Architect, Tom Williamson of Williamson Architecture & Design and Mark Savage and his team at MHS Builders, Hatfield Heath. The flooring will be done by a client of mine – Andrew Banks at the Wood Gallery in Harlow.

This is the beautiful Kimberley who I had in the studio this morning. She was a initially a little unsure about having her photograph taken, but with a little patience and lots of lovely cuddles from her mummy, she soon got used to the idea. I particularly like  this shot as its a little different to the traditional baby portrait. Hope you like it too!

I had the great pleasure of meeting nine month old Peter this morning. Peter came in because he wanted some photographs of him with his mummy and daddy. He was a very good little boy during the shoot and he was very keen to show me how his crawling was coming on. He’s mastered crawling backwards and he’s now learning how to crawl forwards!

This is the very cute Oliver who was in my studio this morning. He was a lovely little boy and seemed to like the Donald Duck noises I was making! Although I have to say his mum did a far better Donald Duck impersonation than I did!

Shown above is the beautiful Emelia who I had the pleasure of photographing recently. She was a very good little girl during the shoot. She has a brother called Harry who I’ve also photographed on a couple of occasions. Indeed, one of the portraits I took of Harry is one of my favorite photographs. You can see it below.
