This is Varina, Mataya, Amal at Matt. Varina and her family are regular vistors to my studio. The shots I’ve taken of them have been extremely successful in winning awards. To date the photographs of her and her family have won a national title (UK Mother & Child Photographer of the Year) and 3x Awards of Excellence. So when Varina calls asking me to do some more photographs, I get very excited!

I was due to take this family portrait back in March, but unfortunately, the shoot had to be abandoned due to Varina going down with a nasty bout of food poisoning a few minutes before I was due to do the group shot! Everyone was back in the studio yesterday fit and well and we did some really fab shots of all of them together.

Its been a great few days and I’ve been welcoming back clients who I’ve photographed in the past.

Starting from the top, Bharat, Nila and little Millan first visited my studio around 3 years ago. It was great to see them again and even better to meet their new addition to their family – the beautiful Layla.

Secondly, let me introduce Dwayne, Lily-Mae and Katie. This is their third visit to my studio since October! I first photographed Katie when she was pregnant, then when Lily-Mae was just a few days old and now they are back again to capture Lily-Mae’s lovely smile.

Finally, pretty in pink we have Toula (pictured right) who first visited me a couple of years ago. This time, she brought her lovely little sister Baila with her.

Had a nice shoot this morning. Pictured above is Elfie (7) and Seth (3). Great kids, they told me that they were both very excited about their upcoming camping holiday.

Its beautifully warm and sunny outside – and I’m stuck inside catching up with loads of work!

Here are a few shots I’ve done in the last week… Firstly we have Lee (5) who was extremely good during his portrait shoot, and next we have his little brother - 7 month old Alfie. Alfie’s mum was telling me that he is a bit of a serious baby - as he often didn’t smile in photographs, but we got lucky and I caught a lovely smile. Finally, we have a classical style portrait of the beautiful Tasha, who came in with her family for a portrait shoot. It was quite a long session, but very enjoyable and productive.

Back to work after taking a week off and here are a couple of shots from some of the portrait sittings I’ve done this week.

First up is the gorgeous 4 month old Freddie, who came in as part of our Kodak Portrait Awards promotion – where you could win a cool £1,000.00. He was a lovely little boy and very much enjoyed having his photograph taken. Secondly we have a vibrant shot of Jayden (3), who just like Freddie was a joy to photograph.

A couple of shots from my last family portrait sitting before I take most of next week off for a well-deserved break.

The first image shows the beautiful Catherine, who told me about her cat Cyclops… who only has one eye! She got to meet my cat Minnie, which pleased her. Then we have a shot of her little brother Jamie. Whilst I was photographing him, he fancied a quick cuddle with his daddy, so I took advantage of the situation and got a great shot of father and son together.

Couple of things to tell you about today. Firstly, if you are looking to have a family portrait done in the near future, remember to get the Mail On Sunday newspaper (Spring Lifestyle Supplement) tomorrow. It contains details of a great family portrait offer. You need to book your shoot by 18th April and your sitting must take place by the end of June – so don’t delay, spaces will be strictly limited. To take advantage of this great offer, get the paper for full details.

Finally, I will leave you with a shot of Harry who came in as part of my ABC Promotion, where your child could appear on the cover of a parenting magazine. He took great interest in the squeaky toys I have in my studio, plus he loved to say ‘ooooh!!’ rather a lot!

I thought I’d show you a photograph from the last shoot of the week. This is Finn and his little sister Taryn. Finn was a little shy to start with but he soon was smiling away. This was Taryn’s first portrait shoot and she did very well.

I first photographed Finn a couple of years ago, and he’s grown up to be a very handsome little boy. Here’s how he looked when he was around a year old.

There’s been a great response to my Kodak Portrait Awards promotion that I recently launched. The next available slots I have for the Kodak promo is in the second week of March. Please note that the first phase of judging is at the end of March, so if you want your sitting to be submitted in good time for this, call me now to secure your sitting date/time.  Still on the subject of the Kodak awards, here are two entrants to the competition. Shown above  is the beautiful Milly and Dixie. Milly (on the left) told me before the shoot that she wasn’t too keen on having her photograph taken, but I think you will agree,  she and her sister look amazing. Well done girls!
