Still on the subject of the Kodak awards, all available spaces for this promotion have now been booked. I am however making a list of people who are interested in taking part in the competition – just in case a client who’s already booked pulls out of their shoot. If you would like to be put on the list, give me a call on 01279 843050 now. I can’t guarantee any places will become available, but if they do, I’ll let you know. Spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

As for general availability, I’m near enough booked up until mid August. I was supposed to be taking about 10 days off at the beginning of the month, but due to a high demand for shoots, I will be working on some of these days, but bookings are now being taken for 16th August onwards.

This is Varina, Mataya, Amal at Matt. Varina and her family are regular vistors to my studio. The shots I’ve taken of them have been extremely successful in winning awards. To date the photographs of her and her family have won a national title (UK Mother & Child Photographer of the Year) and 3x Awards of Excellence. So when Varina calls asking me to do some more photographs, I get very excited!

I was due to take this family portrait back in March, but unfortunately, the shoot had to be abandoned due to Varina going down with a nasty bout of food poisoning a few minutes before I was due to do the group shot! Everyone was back in the studio yesterday fit and well and we did some really fab shots of all of them together.

This is Samual (9) who came in as part of our great Kodak Portrait Awards promotion. This a composite shot of the last setup I did with him. Apart from these shots, I got some really striking and dramatic portraits of him which I’m keeping under wraps for a major competition.  

At this time of year, lots of  us start preparing our entries for the Master Photography Awards, which is the UK’s most prestigious award ceremony in the professional photographic industry. The competition is fierce and only the very best photography wins. In the past I’ve done very well in the Awards and I’ve been lucky enough to win 3 national titles, plus numerous awards for quality and excellence. If all goes according to plan, I will be entering a shot of Samual, plus some other great shots of clients I’ve photographed in the last 12 months. In the forthcoming weeks, I’ll post some of these shots up for you to see.

Its been a bumper baby week and here are a couple of shots that I’ve done in the last couple of days.

Firstly we have Ruby. I first photographed her just before Christmas and it was great to see her again. Unfortunately, Ruby was a little bit under the weather, but despite that, I did get some lovely shots of her.

Finally we have 14 month old Elizabeth – don’t you just LOVE her hair? She was very good and loved exploring – and pointing at things in the studio!

A bright happy face for a bright summer’s day! This is Jessica (3). This her second visit to my studio – I first photographed Jessica when she was around 6 months old. During today’s shoot, she sung me a lovely song – her take on ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’. Her version was called ‘Twinkle Twinkle Chocolate Bar’!

Another quick update on my availability. I am now booked up for the first two weeks in July. Spaces in the second part of July are now limited. At the time of writing this, I only have one Saturday slot available in July - namely the 31st.  Remember, all sittings are booked on a first come, first served basis.

Here’s the gorgeous Rianna (2) who was in my studio this morning. She was a lovely little girl – who liked to say ‘yes’ to all of the questions I asked her!

Rianna came in as part of our great Kodak Awards promotion - where you could win £1,000.00.  Thanks to a recent ad campaign I’m currently running in my local newspapers, there has been quite a lot of interest in this promotion. Subsequently, spaces in July are filling up and I now only have limited space available. Its been a great few days and I’ve been welcoming back clients who I’ve photographed in the past.

Starting from the top, Bharat, Nila and little Millan first visited my studio around 3 years ago. It was great to see them again and even better to meet their new addition to their family – the beautiful Layla.

Secondly, let me introduce Dwayne, Lily-Mae and Katie. This is their third visit to my studio since October! I first photographed Katie when she was pregnant, then when Lily-Mae was just a few days old and now they are back again to capture Lily-Mae’s lovely smile.

Finally, pretty in pink we have Toula (pictured right) who first visited me a couple of years ago. This time, she brought her lovely little sister Baila with her.

Apart from family portraits, I regularly get asked to take publicity portraits for actors, dancers – or indeed anyone in the performing arts. With these sort of shots, you can’t really get that creative, as the shots are intended to be given to casting directors and agents to simply show what someone looks like.

Here are couple of shots I’ve done recently. First up is Rebecca who is an up-and-coming actress and secondly we have young Lauren, who is hoping to persue a career as a dancer.
